#landroversantana #landroverseries This week we tested a Land Rover Santana 88 and compared it to one of the new models. It's been a while since I've made a Land Rover video, and do you know why? Well, in one of my last videos, I openly shared my thoughts on the new Land Rover Defender. The truth is, you don't hear any bad reviews from automotive journalists about the new Land Rover Defender. It's not in their interest. In England, all the major automotive publications have given it five-star reviews, and here in Spain, it's more of the same. Even if you speak ill of them in a video, they ban you, as happened to me two years ago, and they won't let me register as press for this event. To this day, it's the only event in Spain that has shut its doors to me. With the name change from the Land Rover Party to the Land Party, they've proven me right. It's not even called Rover anymore, but the Land Party. My goodness, how things have changed! In just a few years, Land Rover has decided not to sponsor this event, and why? Well, the new Defender is clearly a more modern and luxurious vehicle than its predecessors, but it has lost its ability to handle the conditions it might encounter on an adventure. The latest "Landy" is a far cry from its more agricultural predecessor. The entire concept of an SUV has been updated for a generation of affluent buyers who love the image and name of the old one, but have truly prioritized comfort. For them, the new adventure is the urban jungle—as simple as navigating hills and picking up the kids from school, that's for sure!
