✅ The JCC must oversee and inspect public accountants as part of its mission, as set forth in Section 1 of Article 20 of Law 43 of 1990. Remember that the JCC is the governing body of the public accounting profession. The objective is for us to understand, from the day-to-day work of the profession, how to handle these JCC visits that concern us so much, or what is required to obtain good results, especially with a focus on quality standards. Starting with a regulatory approach, Dr. Ávalos focuses her lecture on the conceptual framework provided by ISQC 1 to reach ISQM 1 and ISQM 2. Public accountant with an emphasis on Statutory Audit and certified as an International Auditor by ACCA. She has 17 years of experience in assurance and statutory audit work, much of it under ISAs, in international and national audit firms. She has served as quality control director at several statutory audit firms in the country.
