Oliver Cromwell imposed a Union on Scotland way before 1707. During the War of the Three Kingdoms, Cromwell left General Monk to do his work in Scotland as Cromwell himself headed off, chasing Charles II to the Battle of Worcester. Dundee was about to have it's worst day ever.
