April 7, 2026 8:26am After the southbound intermodal, next up was Amtrak 711 making its way into the Denair Station where I set up north of it at Zeering Rd. Freight traffic had paused and no freight trains were nearby during this so the next trains were Amtrak. When I filmed this, I hadn't realized the turn lane signal was mostly Incandescent lights and plus, it's a knock down replacement signal BNSF used installed in the early 2010s. This means it's another signal BNSF used post 2010 that used new incandescents back then like the Figarden crossing in Fresno installed in the 2010s and the Patterson Rd crossing installed in 2020s. Cool to see that BNSF would still use an incandescent signal once in a Blue moon. Also, the gateless signal is a knock down replacement and isn't the original one from when this crossing added a gateless signal for pedestrians. The original had 12x20 inch lights.
