This video is dedicated to the memory of the victims of Chernobyl, ordinary people, and the heroic liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident who gave their lives to save the world. The list of Chernobyl liquidators is long, and in this film I will give you a brief biographical overview of the first victims of Chernobyl. These were the firefighters and workers of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant who fought a dangerous and invisible enemy. Twenty-six liquidators of the Chernobyl accident were taken to the 6th Moscow Clinical Hospital, where they died of radiation sickness within a month. All of them were buried in Moscow at the Mitino Cemetery. On April 26, 1986, a major radiation accident occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. As a result of a "turbine rundown" experiment, the reactor in Unit 4 failed and exploded. Tons of radioactive material escaped from the core, spreading throughout the world. But at the cost of superhuman efforts, even more serious and dangerous consequences were prevented.
