Hello, it's Anko and KoHA! ( ¨̮ )♪♪ We've been looking forward to our trip to Miyakojima! Today, the third day of our five-day, four-night trip, marks the day we return our rental car. We started our activities early this morning, hoping to see more of the places we still want to visit. We browsed for local specialties and souvenirs at Miyako Island Station, and had Miyako soba noodles for breakfast. Afterward, we crossed over to Irabu Island, toured the island's tourist attractions, and returned to Miyakojima's mainland for snorkeling at Ingya Marine Garden. After a day of driving, we're now staying at a resort hotel. The view from our room is simply amazing! If you have the time, please take your time to watch this video. Coffee cultivation on Irabu Island has been underway since 2021. This cafe is popular for its house-roasted coffee and homemade bread. The menu, tailored to Irabu Island's unique food culture, is enjoyed by a wide range of island residents and tourists alike. ◆Nakanoshima Beach ・Irabu, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture Nakanoshima Beach on Irabu Island is a popular snorkeling spot. There are no restrooms, showers, or changing rooms, so you'll need to bring a water bottle with you. It's best to visit in the morning. ◆17END ・Irabu Sawada, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture This spot is located at the northern end of the runway at Shimojishima Airport. Its name comes from the number "17" at the end of the airport's runway and "Runway End," referring to the runway's terminal, as aircraft often land at an angle of approximately 170 degrees. At low tide, the sandy beach appears, creating a beautiful contrast between the pure white sand and the clear water, making it a popular spot. Located directly behind the runway at Shimojishima Airport, you can watch planes take off and land up close. ◆Irabu Bridge ・Opened in 2015, the 3,540-meter-long Irabu Bridge connects Miyakojima Island and Irabu Island. It is the longest free bridge in Japan. ◆Ingya Marine Garden ・605-2, Jobe Yuri, Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture Showers, restrooms, and a shop are available. Showers are available for a fee. Taking advantage of a natural cove, Ingya Marine Garden has calm waters, making it a safe place for beginners to enjoy snorkeling and other activities. However, caution is advised as there are SUP enthusiasts. The water gets deeper as you go further in, so a life jacket is recommended.
