Date filmed: 14/08/2023 Videos filmed at: 14:04 | 14:14 Route: The Bittern Line (Norwich to Sheringham) Between North Walsham and Gunton Stations Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barriers crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) Location: Southrepps Road, Antingham Trains featured: Lowering 1 (0:00): 755 336 (Greater Anglia) - 0:50 2S17 Sheringham ➡ Norwich | On-time - Lowering 2 (1:09): 755 418 (Greater Anglia) - 2:25 2S20 Norwich ➡ Sheringham | On-time A full-barrier level crossing located on a quiet road near Antingham on the Bittern Line between North Walsham and Gunton, the line connecting Norwich with the North Norfolk coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham. This is quite a quiet road for a full-barrier level crossing, and you'd typically expect to only find half-barriers on a country lane this quiet that's off the beaten track. As can be seen though, the barriers themselves here are in quite a tired state. The second lowering is un-cut because of how quickly the train arrived after the barriers were lowered, and the whole lowering lasted for only a touch over 90 seconds. If only they could do this with this type of crossing on busier roads... Train details sourced from: Real Time Trains: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/sear...
