Dublin City Pike Fishing I.A.A.P Competition GRAND CANAL DOCK

🎣 I.A.A.P Urban Dublin Fishing Competition – 18th October 2025 On Saturday, 18th October, fifteen dedicated anglers from across Dublin gathered at the Grand Canal Dock to take part in another exciting I.A.A.P Urban Fishing Competition. With fantastic prizes up for grabs and a shared passion for angling, participants lined the canal in high spirits, ready to test their skills in the heart of the city. Conditions on the day proved challenging, with cool temperatures, bright skies, and wary fish making bites few and far between. Despite the tough fishing, every competitor showed great determination, patience, and respect for both the water and fellow anglers. After several hours of focused effort, I.A.A.P member Anthony emerged victorious with an impressive 6.36 lb pike measuring 76 cm, earning him the top prize and well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Anthony! Though the fish were scarce, the spirit of the day was anything but — laughter, teamwork, and camaraderie filled the banks of the Grand Canal Dock. Every angler conducted themselves with responsibility and respect, helping to promote safe and sustainable urban fishing right in the heart of Dublin. A big thank you goes out to all who took part and to our valued sponsors, ABC Tackle and Swords Angling, for their continued support of our events and our mission to grow responsible angling in urban areas. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next competition — tight lines until then! – I.A.A.P Admin
