Hong Kong's Latest First Class Lounge - Cathay Pacific the Deck!

I recently had some time to check out a couple of Cathay Pacific lounges at Hong Kong Airport — the latest of which is The Deck, now temporarily serving as the First Class and oneworld Emerald lounge while The Wing First undergoes renovation. While The Deck has long been a favourite among Business Class travellers, its upgraded role brings a few elevated touches, most notably in its dining and bar service. The highlight here is the à la carte menu, offering a more refined experience compared to the usual buffet setup. The bar, tucked near the entrance, is another standout. It’s small but sophisticated, with a polished marble counter and a carefully curated selection of wines, premium spirits, and craft cocktails. Though The Deck may not have the sheer size or luxury of The Pier First, it delivers where it matters most: thoughtful service, excellent food, and a calm, elegant atmosphere that reminds you why Cathay Pacific lounges remain some of the best in the world.
