From Colostomy To Ileostomy… My Truth - it was harder than I expected!

Welcome to Chris Talks. I live with Crohn’s disease and Fibromyalgia, and after years of complications my journey has included major life-changing surgery. I had a colostomy and Barbie Butt surgery due to Crohn’s disease, lived with a colostomy for 12 years, and later developed Slow Bowel Transit Syndrome. This eventually led to the removal of my large intestine and life with an ileostomy. This channel is a place for honest conversations about living with an ostomy, chronic illness, recovery, surgery, and adapting to a different way of life. My aim is to support, encourage and help others who may be facing similar challenges — whether you’re newly diagnosed, preparing for surgery, living with a stoma, or supporting someone who is. I’ll also talk openly about mental health, men’s health, and the realities that often aren’t discussed enough. Alongside personal experiences, I’ll review ostomy products and accessories I’ve genuinely used, sharing what worked for me (and what didn’t) to help you make more informed choices. And occasionally… we may just talk about random life stuff too. If you’re looking for honesty, support, lived experience, and a reminder that you’re not facing these challenges alone — subscribe and join the conversation. Chris Talks – Real experiences. Real conversations. Real support.
