1/18 BBI Elite Force 'UH-60 Blackhawk' version 2

This is a beautiful model in 1/18 scale which encapsulates the true essence of the 'U.S. Army's workhorse of the sky', the UH-60 Blackhawk. This four bladed, twin engined, medium lift helicopter entered service in 1979. This is BBI's second version of the Blackhawk with the first version being their Pavehawk in woodland USAF camouflage. This version, 2 of 3 is made of plastic and in single tone of Olive Drab with weathering in silver to denote scratching and matt ash black to simulate carbon deposits in and around the engine air intakes and exhaust vents. further weathering can be found on the external fuel cells and around the fuselage. Highly detailed, including PAD printing of warning markings like 'Danger Keep Away', 'Rescue' and various 'No Step' or 'Step' as the case maybe. There's even printing on both main and tail rotor blades!😃 It has plastic tires which some collectors may consider this to be inaccurate but in my opinion this is a good decision as it prevents rubber erosion and enables the tires to maintain there shape. The seating capacity for this model is configured in a 4, 3, 3 split in the rear compartment and 2 back to back for the gunners (unfortunately the 2 gunner seats are inaccessible due to the high back seats and lack of space for positioning the figures. Even though the seat configuration is 4, 3, 3 in the rear compartment, you can only get 3, 2, 3, this is due to the figures arms and the size of the seats. There are however two very nicely moulded pilot and co-pilot seats to the front of the Blackhawk. Cockpit interior is very detailed with the addition of the control levers and PAD printed instrument panel and central console. I even noticed that there was foot control pedals near the floor pan!😉 You also get a pilot figure with olive flight suit with a lighter green vest. on the vest there are a moulded knife and a hand fire arm to the left of the figure. The figures articulation is as follows: head can rotate 360° and comes with a removable flight helmet and soft plastic boom. Both arms can rotate up/down, full 360°, bicep swivel, 90° bend at the elbow due to a 45° cut, waist swivel, hips can rotate 90°, knee bends and boot/sole can raise and lower and swivel.
