Jared Waerea-Hargreaves Returns to Iona College.
Ahead of their brilliant Confraternity Carnival campaign, Iona's First XIII rugby league team spent the day with 2006 Old Boy and Sydney Roosters legend, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. We caught up with Jared after he finished a wide-eyed tour of the College grounds and the Provence Centre, hearing his thoughts on what it means to return to Iona after 20 years away, having dominated in both Australian and English rugby league competitions. With our First XIII on a rest day before their semi-final against St Brendan’s College, Yeppoon, in the ACU Confraternity Carnival tomorrow at 3PM, we thought we would keep the league vibe rolling by hearing from Jared about what Iona school means to him, and what it means to represent the black and white.
