LAST TRAIN! CP 8715 met CP 9581 at Craighurst, Ontario

LAST VIDEO UNTIL AFTER THE STRIKE! Canadian Pacific 8715, CP 9813, CP 8622, CP 9522 northbound at mile 73 of the Mactier subdivision in Craighurst pulling autorack and double stack intermodal cars (7,400 ft -- 360 axles). Canadian Pacific 9581, CP 9549, CP 9669 northbound at mile 73 of the Mactier subdivision in Craighurst pulling double stack intermodal cars. I was surprised to see a northbound train with the strike only hours away. It was fairly quiet out there this afternoon. This should be my last CP train video until the strike is over. NOTICE: The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference ( www.teamstersrail.ca ) represents all 4,800 of the conductors, yardmen, locomotive engineers and rail traffic controllers. The major issues are work rules, fatigue management, and Pension plan. On April 26, 2012 Teamsters announced that 95% of its members had voted to go on strike. On May 19, 2012 Teamsters issued a 72 hours strike notice that will take effect on May 23rd at 0:01. CP has completed the safe and structured shut down of freight operations on its Canadian network.
