History of Shepherd's Bush Underground Stations
The railways (and what all later became the Tube) in in the Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith area of London have a complicated history with same named stations, moved station and closures over the years, alongwith several piecs of abandoned infrastructure that you can still see today. Here's an animated timeline of it all ... If this looks familiar, it's because already made this video once before but for the Londonist channel eight years ago in 2013. I got small parts of it wrong (and a chunk of it missing!) so I thought it was about time to remake it and make it look better on my own channe, but you can see the original here: • Hammersmith Railways Timeline Yes, there really were some early Shepherds Bush stations on the West London line that aren't always known about oe reference, but there is information about them on the excellent Disused Stations website, here: The very first Shepherd's Bush station: http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/u/...
