The one thing Tom has missed more than anything since we became full-time RVers is his big wood smoker. So since we've been traveling, we've been looking for a portable alternative to the big cast iron smokers. We needed a small smoker that could fit in the basement storage of our 31.5' motorhome during travel, would be fairly light, and is portable and easy to set up. We also wanted a smoker that could cook a decent amount of food including a small brisket, a pork shoulder, a whole chicken or maybe even a small turkey.
