Eicma 2024 Milano - NEW 2025 Bimota KB998 Rimini - Superbike Coming Soon! - Walkaround & Details

Bimota presents the KB998 Rimini model at Eicma 2024, a motorbike that will be the basis of the model to compete in the 2025 SuperBike World Championship. One hundred twenty-five units are expected to be assembled by February 24, 2025, and another 125 bikes will be built by December 31, 2025. Another 250 units will be produced in 2026 for the 500 units needed to meet the FIM homologation rules to compete in SBK. The KB998 engine is the 200hp in-line four-cylinder at 13,600 rpm derived from the Kawasaki ZX-10R. The chassis, developed by Bimota, consists of a frame of oval steel tubes that merge with aluminium side plates. The very light rear swingarm is made of aluminium. The suspensions are Showa, with a 43 mm upside-down fork at the front, and the Brembo braking system has two 330 mm front discs. Many carbon fibre and titanium exhaust systems complete the tech specs. Sono previste 125 unità assemblate entro il 24 febbraio 2025 ed altre 125 moto saranno costruite entro il 31 dicembre 2025. Altri 250 esemplari verranno prodotti nel 2026 per un totale di 500 unità necessari per soddisfare le regole FIM di omologazione per gareggiare in SBK. Il motore della KB998 è il quattro cilindri in linea da 200hp a 13.600 giri/min derivato da quello dalla Kawasaki ZX-10R. La ciclistica, sviluppata da Bimota è formata da un telaio realizzato in tubi ovali d’acciaio che si fonde con piastre laterali in alluminio. Il forcellone posteriore molto leggero è in alluminio. Le sospensioni sono Showa con all'anteriore una forcella a steli rovesciati da 43 mm. Sistema frenante Brembo dotato di due dischi anteriori da 330 mm. Chiudono il quadro il sistema di scarico, con collettori e silenziatore in titanio e tanto carbonio.
