The Run to Banff, Episode 3: Riding the Canadian Rockies!

In June of 2024 my group of friends and I took our Harley-Davidson baggers north of the border, and into Canada to experience the Canadian Rockies for the first time. We rode for 6 days through seven national parks on both sides of the border. It was an incredible trip on our Road Glide's and Street Glide's and I hope you enjoy watching it! EPISODE THREE: We left our AirBNB in Canmore, AB early so we could catch the gondola in Banff and eat breakfast at the top of the mountain. The ride from Canmore to Banff was short but amazing as we carved through the mountain valley with sharp peak on either side of us. In Banff we saw the famous Fairmount Hotel, jutting out above the river like a medieval castle on the coast if Ireland. It was stunning, and with the sun shining we knew we'd have some amazing views at the top of Sulphur Mountain. After a relaxing and scenic gondola ride we reached the summit, grabbed some coffee and some excellent sausage filled pastries and sat out for what was the best breakfast view any of us have every had. A few of us walked up to the summit and the views only go better from there. Not a ton of riding for the first half of the day but it was worth it for the spectacular views. After descending back into the valley we jumped on the bikes and made another sprint up to the famous Lake Louis, which was packed with people but still extremely beautiful. We explored our second Fairmont Hotel of the day, and took in the glacial waters and mountains. Lunch in Lake Louis and then it was time to set our sights towards Icefield Parkway...
