Locomotive Cab Ride from Minnesota Falls to Appleton, Minnesota

The video follows a Twin Cities & Western train, from the front window of a GP-20C, on the ex-Milwaukee Road transcontinental line from Minnesota Falls to Appleton in western Minnesota. The trip follows the wooded Minnesota River valley, crosses the BNSF Marshall Subdivision mainline and past the restored Montevideo depot. Continuing west, the route goes through sweeping curves and remnants of the long ripped-up second main are visible. The trip ends crossing the BNSF Watertown Sub mainline in Appleton where target signals remain. The ex-Milwaukee Road stations the line goes through are: Minnesota Falls, Granite Falls, Wegdahl, Montevideo, Watson,Milan and Appleton.
