🌷 Tarocchi Visconti Brambilla (Il Meneghello, 2018, Ltd ed. 200) & Osvaldo Menegazzi's Special Boxes

Here I am unboxing the stunningly reproduced Tarocchi Visconti Brambilla facsimile by Il Meneghello (2018) in a limited edition of 200 copies stored in a special edition box purchased separately. REVIEW: The cardstock is unlike anything I have ever seen or held before. It is high grade paper stock which reminds me of a lot of art paper. The texture and consistency of the card or paperstock matches perfectly with the aesthetic of the printing and the overall reproduction of the original illuminated artwork. They are simply stunning. I dare say, that this is by far their best fascimile edition!! Here, we also have some of Osvaldo Menegazzi's special boxes 💜 All of the Maestro's boxes are special, really 😊 Having said that, with the rebranding of Il Meneghello under its new management, these boxes do start to feel mass produced. Although it still has the feeling of a high quality hand crafted product, cracks are beginning to show. The lack of precision as shown in how the "lid" loosely fitting instead of snugly fitting indicated a lack of care and time spent making each box. The increased uniformity of these boxes is also apparent. This is all to be expected. If the transformation of the Il Meneghello the magic shop into the tarot luxury brand that it is today is still a bit of a blur for those of us who remember the old days, the accompanying often eye watering increase of the prices of each of these boxes truly brought in the cold water on your face and remind you that the old Meneghello is truly dead. Is this a good thing? It remains to be seen. For now, the quality is superb. But the price quality balance is tittering at the edge. Personally, I would have preferred for the magic shop to remain and for costs to be focused on quality, instead of branding. But I do not own Il Meneghello 😁 and I am free to not purchase when I feel that the balance is no longer there. You are free to make your own mind about it. Here, I can only present to you the facts as I see them, and opinions as I thought them Thanks for watching! -- UPDATE: Allegedly removed from his vocation, his passion, his creative flow, and reduced to a mere mascot, making products based on instructions, away from his life long social support network hub with the relocation of the shop and studio away from his usual hangouts, to a luxury shopping area in Milan, with no independent access to these personally and artistically important spaces, he continued to age, and finally passed away only 3 years after this edition came out. RIP.
