The History of Doctor Who Viewing Figures: Season 16 (1978/79)

The journey continues through the history of DOCTOR WHO VIEWING FIGURES! We've reached SEASON 16, a run of stories that embraced the first true story arc for the programme! This of course is the quest, for the six segments of the Key to Time! Tom Baker returns for his fifth season as the Fourth Doctor, aided by his trusty dog K-9, and his new assistant, the Time Lady Romana, played by Mary Tamm. Together, they encounter the ominous Ogri, the paralysing Pirate Captain, and the immense threat of the Black Guardian, who is hell bent on using the Key to Times powers for his own evil ends! But as the TARDIS team hunt for the Key's six pieces, how did audiences react? Could this new story arc send numbers soaring back over 10 million, or would the downward trajectory continue?
