In singing, high notes get ALL the attention and like anything that has that monopoly, that's just not fair! I have a naturally high voice, and as an angsty teen all of my fave songs and singers were too low for my range. As you can imagine, I was devastated! BUT the joy of singing is that it is a skill that improves with practise and those low notes are no longer completely out of reach. It is very important to work on our full range, especially the more unloved lower notes. Low notes generally involve more space and chestiness in our mix, parts of our instrument that will bring strength to our whole voice, even the highest notes.
