This week's teacher is Asuka Kashiwabara, a beautiful and theoretical golfer with two tour wins! The theme of this episode is "How to Use Your Arms to Increase Head Speed." Even with practice, you can't seem to increase your distance... Kashiwabara gently and carefully teaches simple tips and practice methods that anyone can try. In the special extracurricular lesson in the second half of the program, she will also show off her own special golf gear. Asuka Kashiwabara (28 years old). Born January 30, 1996, in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture. She has been playing golf since the age of 7. During her third year at Higashi-Omiya Junior High School, she attracted attention by placing second in the Japan Women's Amateur and setting a record for being the youngest player to qualify for the Japan Women's Open (at the time, 14 years and 244 days old). She passed the pro test in 2014. The following year, she competed for the championship in her first full tournament at the Japan Women's Open. As a seeded player, she maintained consistent performance throughout 2016, finishing 29th in prize money. In 2019, she won her first title at the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Women's Open. That same year, she won her second title at the NOBUTA GROUP Masters GC Ladies.
