Allegheny National Forest ADV/Dual Sport XR650L

I caught up with ‪@xpeditionpgh‬ and his crew on the third day of the Cross Cut PA route. This was an adventure bike ride and I dual sported on the XR650L. Xpeditionpgh and others created a three day route (2 days across PA and a third day in Allegheny National Forest PA). Thanks for letting me join on the third day. I had a great and memorable time! The fun of this is the challenge and everyone coming together to get everyone through. We learn, we laugh, we ride! Keep in mind everyone else was coming from a 2 day ride across PA. I always thought my bike was big but my bike felt like a toy compared to the big ADV bikes. Get out and ride! My engine trouble seems to be related to getting water and mud in the airbox and over saturating the air filter. The air filter was very dirty. That's all I could figure and find after inspection. Changed the single use air filter and bike is running fine. My seat has two holes in it that is allowing dirt/water from the rear tire to get into the air box easily. Will seal those holes. If anyone has any other suggestions, leave them in the chat. Thanks. I cleaned, dried, and dielectric greased all the electrical connections too.
