A: Whilst GW has stated that the codex is defacto with its blurbs I am hesitant to cite them because sometimes the information contained within may sometimes be incorrect or completely alter how a weapon, or thing in lore, operates and as such I use them as a foundation but much prefer citing novels, IN CONJUCTION, with the codexs. However if I am unable to then the codex is the only source I will trust on the matter... even if I don't like it. 40K and 30K lore is already a giant mess and I want to give people a good understanding FIRST before I get into the nitty gritty and sometimes the codices ruin this process as they uproot a consistent depiction and plant in a new one. Novels are my main sourcing point but codices and RPG books are backups in case I am unable to find anything. Q: Gameplay Features: "Whats this about gameplay features?" A: Gameplay features refers to how things are depicted in game and how they can be inconsistent as with the melta, volkite and lasgun. To some extent animated media also falls under this but for a different reason, so too does artwork. Also "Codex balance" updates can bork the perception of a weapon or army and make them seem utterly useless, never forget that Warhammer 40K and 30K is a table top war game first and setting second. A: Warhammer Inquires is a beginners lore introduction series focused on small snippets or blurbs from the wider universe of Warhammer 40,000 and 30,000 with the intent to give you basic information that you can readily source and find to view yourself. The main differentiating factor from other lore youtubers is that I cite my sources in the videos themselves and also provide some thoughts and opinions if a certain topic is a bit muddy with its depictions.
