At that time, the only resort in the region was in Serrambi (and it was called Intermares). Few tourists left Recife to go to Porto: the most popular trip was to the islet of Coroa do Avião, in Itamaracá. With the arrival of large resorts to the northern tip of the coast -- Muro Alto -- and the construction of large hotels along Cupe beach, Porto de Galinhas was put on the map. It grew until it overtook Recife as the number 1 destination in Pernambuco. And it became the most desired beach for those who live in the metropolitan region of Recife. Our itinerary ⠀ ⠀ Day 1 - We arrived at 3pm at the Serrambi resort and enjoyed the hotel facilities and Serrambi beach with a beautiful sunset.⠀ ⠀ Day 2 - Boat trip to Santo Aleixo Island, with lunch on the island and Pontal do Maracaípe. Full day tour. Night on the Porto boardwalk to see the fashions... Important - This tour has the option of going to Carneiros Island, but it would be too rushed, and we loved the island, so Carneiros will be left for the next visit. On the island there is the option of renting a jet ski. ⠀ Day 3 - Traditional tour to the natural pools and then a buggy ride.
