This Kenyan Family Invited Me to Their Remote Island Home 🇰🇪

Lake Victoria, the biggest lake in Africa is shared by Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. While most of the visitors go to either Tanzanian or Ugandan sides, tourists rarely venture into the shores of Lake Victoria on a Kenyan side. I decided to make my way to this off the beaten path location and see how the Kenyan hidden gem is. While on my way to the ferry port in Mbita, I met a friendly local who told me that his friend is living in a small island called Mfangano Island. Soon I was invited by that friend to stay with their family and was shown around Mfangano Island and Takawiri Island. On my time in Mfangano Island, I saw a lot of friendly locals who were eager to talk with me and welcome me to their island.
