This one comes from a very personal and intense experience, that did not find its happy ending. This lead me to pursuit an artistic outlet to express what I was feeling when I was not given the chance to do so. The idea of this concept video has been in my mind for some time, and it needed me to just dive into my feelings and “wrestle” with them until the internal war found its peace. For this to happen, I needed as many human mirrors as possible to reflect the intensity of the message and all the amazing dancers featured in the video stood by my side in this reveal of heart and rawness. The entire process - production, creating the choreography, rehearsals, the filming of the video - was an exemplary state of flowing, like it was meant to exist and nurture our will to deliver something artistic through unity. My long time creative collaboration with Alexandru Muresan turned out to be - once again - perfect in every way. He built the visuals and set the mood for every piece of the story, highlighting - pun intended - key elements from the choreography, bringing a perfect mix of softness and drama. Our work flow was insanely good and I’m grateful to meet someone like him at the same high standards of delivering quality artistic content. I worked with Lil Eyez and Cosmin as assistant choreographers, and they totally pushed through, being in my corner, showing up with passion and discipline and will to dance at crazy hours, that both inspired me and made me proud of them. To all the incredible, generous, kind-hearted dancers - you felt so beautifully and understood exactly what this dance video is all about. You opened up, and each one of you brought a unique take on vulnerability, expressing pain, love and wonder. In my opinion, we accomplished the higher purpose of dancing and performing, and that is, feeling deeply. On and off the screen, there were people - Blanka & Alexandra Stratulat - supporting this project and me each step of the way.
