Walderholungsstätte Strullendorf

Hello my dear subscribers and YouTubers. Today, I'm not Tillig the Wandervogel, but Heinzi, the child sent away from home. My memories of my two stays at this Strullendorf weight-gain station simply must be preserved for posterity, and the other thoughts surrounding it are just as worthwhile. Take a look, even if some of my comments are a bit snarky, but they are quite realistic. A small addendum from my superficial image analysis: it's clear that there was also a chapel in this home, namely the single-story annex with the portholes. And what else one learns from kind people: at the end of April 1945, the American armed forces requisitioned the building. A woman from Strullendorf went there with a raised white flag and was thus able to avert the shelling of Strullendorf. On St. Nicholas Day, the children from the village always received chocolate and other sweets from American army surplus. Many thanks to Joachim Krauß, operator of the website "www.ak-lkr-Bamberg.de" (postcards-district-Bamberg) for the postcards of the Strullendorf forest recreation area.
