Virtual Networking in OpenStack: Neutron 101

Neutron provides a rich set of logical constructs to develop a full featured virtual network deployment. In this talk, we will tour a basic Neutron setup and examine the IPv6, distributed routing and load balancing components. We will close with a look back on the new features in Kilo and look ahead to the planned work in the upcoming release. Neutron is an OpenStack project to provide “network connectivity as a service” between interface devices (e.g., vNICs) managed by other OpenStack services (e.g., nova). It implements the Neutron API. https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/pike/ OpenStack Kilo, the 11th release of the open source software for building public, private, and hybrid clouds have nearly 400 new features to support software development, big data analysis and application infrastructure at scale. https://www.openstack.org/software/kilo Speaker(s): Mark Mcclain Kyle Mestery:   / mestery   Connect with us: OpenInfra Twitter:   / openinfradev   OpenInfra LinkedIn:   / mycompany   OpenInfra Facebook:   / openinfradev   OpenInfra Website: https://openinfra.dev/ #OpenStack #OpenInfra #OpenStackDemo #OpenStackRelease #OpenSource
