“The meek shall inherit the earth” is one of the most misunderstood lines in Scripture. The original Greek word is praus — and it does not mean weak. It means power under voluntary control. As Dr. Jordan Peterson explains it: “Those who carry swords and know how to use them, but keep them sheathed — they are the ones who inherit the earth.” Weak men aren’t meek. Weak men are just weak. Most men never become dangerous because they’re afraid of their own strength, their anger, their ability to confront chaos. Men are not designed to be safe. They’re designed to be dangerous — but controlled.
