The man suspected of shooting the ROTA lieutenant in São Paulo may be trying to leave the country with his family. Three other possible individuals involved in the crime have already been identified. The case involves the attack against Lieutenant Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos, who was shot in the head on June 27th as he left a gym in São Caetano do Sul, in the ABC region of São Paulo. Recent images show Hércules da Costa Siqueira, known as “Golias” or “Peruca,” identified as the shooter, with his wife and daughters in Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo state. Investigators believe the group was heading towards the coast of the state and that the suspect may have received support from his family in recent days to leave the country. According to the police, the lieutenant's routine had been monitored by the criminals for more than three months. A white car was captured by security cameras minutes after the attack and is believed to have passed through the area where the victim circulated 96 times. The images are being used in an attempt to reconstruct the escape, along with data obtained from the breaking of telephone and telematic secrecy. Three other suspects have already been identified, two have been arrested, and one died during an attempted escape on the coast. Lieutenant Ronickson remains hospitalized in serious condition.
