It was love at first sight. This is how Esther Messner describes her first meeting with her husband, a farmer from Baden-Württemberg. They married and had five children. Happiness seemed perfect until Esther's husband died unexpectedly at the age of just 49. Suddenly, she was left alone with her children, 80 cows, and an entire farm. Her first thought was to sell the animals and the farm. But together with her children, she ultimately made a different decision: Today, she runs the business together with her eldest daughter.
