Lost Characters From The Nutcracker: Meet Princess Pirlipat and The Mouse QUEEN

The ballet The Nutcracker that we know and love, or think we know and probably love, is actually an altogether different story from the original E.T.A. Hoffman tale that it's based on. So much so that there are MAJOR characters who drove the plot in the book but are written out of the ballet completely including the OG antagonist the Mouse QUEEN, the mother of our 7 headed terror (the Mouse King). Here we'll go over an important storyline in the book that shows us how between 2 of the lost characters, the Nutcracker Prince came to be.
