THRILL WATER PARK family review at Perfect Day at CocoCay | Royal Caribbean's Private Island

We visited Perfect Day at CocoCay in December 2019. Here's a review of the Thrill Water Park. As a family with 4 kids, visiting a water park (or anywhere) can be challenging, but the Thrill Water Park was perfect for us. At the time, our kids ages ranged from 12 to 7 and they all had a blast. We were a bit worried about them getting lost, but the Thrill Water Park is fenced in and you have to have your sea-pass card to get in or out. There were plenty of available seats so it wasn't hard to find a chair to make it "home base" for the kids when they needed us. The lockers are complementary and you can set a passcode on the lockers, so no key necessary. Just get them early, first come, first serve. They were big enough for a backpack and a few more items. The wave pool was really nice and had a concrete pad that goes down into the water so you don't end up too sandy. There was plenty of shade too everywhere on the island so we didn't have to worry much about getting too hot. Daredevil's tower is really tall. I counted 14 flights of stairs to the top. The ride is amazing though - definitely worth the climb and the views from the top are incredible. Our kids enjoyed the rest of the slides on the tower too and rode them over and over. We loved Splash Summit that contains the Slingshot, Twister and Speedway slides. We did the Slingshot first. The tubes are carried to the top by an automatic conveyer belt so we didn't have to carry anything to the top. Depending on how much your group weighs, you may have to take two tubes instead of one. For our family of 6, we had to to 3 at a time. (probably all of that MDR weight!!) The speedway ride has the shortest lines. Just grab a mat from the bottom and head up the stairs. There are different sized mats so pick one that fits you. The Twister slide uses tubes and single or double tubes are available. We had lunch at the Snack Shack in Thrill Water Park. We had heard of a secret menu item: the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich... basically, order a chicken sandwich and a side order of cheese sticks with marinara sauce and put the cheese sticks and sauce on the chicken sandwich. Mmmm so good! The kids loved the burgers, fries and enormous cookies. All free. The Adventure Pool was a favorite of our kids and is in between the Splash Summit and the Wave Pool. We liked it because the kids were able to play there while we got a bite to eat and we could keep an eye on them. The Adventure Pool has a rock climbing wall, lilli-pad stepping stones to cross the water, rope swings and more. We did get to see a bit of the Chill Island, but we've already booked two more cruises WITHOUT KIDS so we can go relax there and really check it out. Happy Cruising!
