Yellow Couch Sessions @ Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival Michael Franti: Good to be Alive Today https://www.michaelfranti.com/ http://www.pelusomicrophonelab.com/ It’s hard to think of a better way to kick off our week at the Three Rivers Arts Festival than to welcome Michael Franti, whose new record "SOULROCKER" comes out today, into our mobile studio. Our friends at WYEP were using the space to interview him and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if this was going to happen or not. Matt and I kind of spazzed out when he agreed to play a song us. He couldn’t have been nicer or more generous with his time. So if you happen to be reading this, thanks a bunch, Michael Franti! For this video, we got to use our brand new toys that Peluso Microphone Lab sent to us a couple weeks ago. On his vocals, we used the P-87 and on the guitar, we used their P-28. As much as I absolutely love the other combinations of mics that I’ve used, this set up may have just slid into first place.
