Detenida la exabadesa de Belorado y un anticuario por apropiación indebida de patrimonio histórico

The Civil Guard has arrested the former abbess of the Poor Clares monastery in Belorado and an antique dealer as part of an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of items listed as historical heritage. Another former nun was also arrested after pieces from the monastery were found being sold online and in antique shops. The former nuns claim to be unaware of the reasons for the legal action and maintain their innocence. The recovered works have been placed at the disposal of the court while the investigation continues.
