I ended up ordering these because they looked just like the Dunlop Ultex Sharp 2.0 Picks that I love and I thought, I've got to try these out. In terms of options for this pick, they offer a 2 mm pick and a 1.5 mm pick and they come in two different shapes of each thickness; a standard size and what they call the mini size. I tried the mini ones and they're pretty tiny, compared to the standard ones. While I wanted to love the mini, I just couldn't, it was too small for me. However, if you happen to be one of those players that like a smaller jazz type pick I think the mini would be one that you should consider. Tony McManus Watching this guitarist pick is a tour de force of tensionless playing, comfort, and confidence. The way he addresses the strings is void of any physical tension and the tone created is downright dreamy. Regardless of a song's difficulty, his picking accuracy remains extremely high. Tony McManus is an acoustic guitar player that may very well not be on your radar, but he is someone who absolutely needs to be. Tony is regarded as a Celtic guitar master and after listening to him play you will know why. Ask Matt As a guitar geek do you ever find yourself pondering the question, "With all of the amazing guitar manufacturers around today, in 100 or so years, who will have made some of the most sought-after guitars?" If you have considered that question you certainly aren't alone. I think guitar geeks, whether brand new to the acoustic guitar world or those who have been around a bit have all wondered what the industry will look like in the future. Who will be the modern golden era guitar builder making guitars that are the most desired? Acoustic Tuesday correspondent Matt Chulka from Eddie's Guitars in St. Louis, MO stepped out and was bold enough to entertain this loaded question. His answer may very well surprise you and even more so, you will learn about some valuable resources that you can welcome with open arms to your guitar geek library. Sit back and enjoy this #AskMatt segment, it contains a full dose of acoustic guitar geek future casting that you do not want to miss. Froggy Bottom Michael Millard has been building guitars under the name Froggy Bottom Guitars for over 40 years. Vermont is home base for Michael Millard and his small talented crew of guitar builders. Froggy Bottom, in my opinion, is one of those mythical guitar companies because you don't really see them in many shops across the country. I have always felt like when I had a chance to play one it was a magical opportunity mainly because they're quite rare, but also because the guitars are exquisite. Visually Froggy Bottom Guitars are something to marvel, and the tonewoods that Michael selects for the guitars are the finest examples available. Tonally, these guitars would make any guitar geek's mouth water... We're talking Pavlovian response here. Upon hearing a Froggy Bottom the first question usually asked is, "where is this magic sound coming from?"
