Shincheonji Church of Jesus expresses its regret regarding the request for an arrest warrant filed by the Joint Investigation Team of the Prosecutor's Office and the Police against Man-hee Lee, leader of the General Assembly. Mr. Man-hee Lee has diligently cooperated with the investigation process and responsibly responded to all requests made by the investigating authorities. Nevertheless, we find it extremely regrettable that an arrest warrant has been requested in a situation where there is no risk of flight or destruction of evidence. In particular, despite being 95 years old, Mr. Man-hee Lee has sincerely and consistently cooperated with the investigation, making it difficult to recognize the necessity and proportionality of an arrest warrant.
