Association Croquet, planning ahead.
This animation investigates the idea that it is best to plan ahead, and think through the route to the next hoop, before roqueting your first ball. In this example RED is the striker ball and has a clear rush to Hoop 1. To make a break of many hoops from this position a plan needs to be made of what will happen after Hoop 1. In other words, a pioneer (Yellow) should be sent to Hoop 3, the Black Ball then sent over to the Blue Ball which in turn will be sent to Hoop 2 to help us make that hoop. The example suggests that it is better to use all the balls if possible as you move from hoop to hoop, as this will make running the next hoop more assured.
