Incredibly, not only was it April 1st, but Olivier was just finishing his PPL test. When the engine suddenly vibrated and stopped, it was a complete failure, the propeller stalled. James (73), the instructor examiner, who had just taken over the controls, landed the plane in a field a few kilometers from Rouen airport.
