This is the second part of a self-rescue training seminar held at the Ministry of Education's Mountaineering Research Institute, sponsored by the Japan Alpine Club. This training covers how a belayer can rescue a climber who has fallen while climbing using a double rope and is unable to escape due to reasons such as being suspended in mid-air, having more than half the rope out and being unable to lower themselves, or the climber being unconscious. *If you are planning to perform a rescue using the method in this video, be sure to practice thoroughly and safely beforehand and become fully proficient before proceeding.
