BA's Old Club Seats - 11% Of Them Are Quite Good! #inaugralnotinaugural

I spotted a press release back in May promoting the resumption of services to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. I've wanted to visit Saudi for decades so thought this was a great opportunity to visit and to show what happens on an inaugural flight.... OK, technically it was a re-inaugural as BA served Jeddah before the you-know-what, but I was still hoping for balloons and cake... But between me booking and the day of travel, BA moved the inaugural date and so the flight I booked was actually the third service... Quite annoying, to say the least. The inaugural flight had also been scheduled to be a 787-9 with the new club suites, but our equipment had also been downgraded to an unrefurbished 787-8 with the old club dormitory.... But that gave me the opportunity to give a thorough review to this seat which is being phased out of the Heathrow fleet, but will "stick around" on the Gatwick fleet for many more years....
