Swingin' With Strings Vocalist Claire Martin
On 24 November 2019 Richard Pite’s Jazz Repertory Company presented the first Swingin’ With Strings concert at London’s Cadogan Hall as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Claire Martin featured four songs from the 1958 Billie Holiday album Lady in Satin alongside a number of songs by Ella Fitzgerald with arrangements by Nelson Riddle. She also sang “Stars Fell On Alabama” arranged by Callum Au from the album “Songs and Stories” which will be released in Spring 2020 and played in its entirety at the “Swingin’ With Strings 2” concert on June 13th 2020 at Cadogan Hall.
