Today we visit Chía, one of the most charming villages in the Benasque Valley, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. This adventure began in a very special way. After publishing our latest video about Benasque, we received a comment from Antonio and Maica, who told us that they had enjoyed a second home in Chía for 18 years. Their story sparked our curiosity, and we decided to explore the village and discover what makes this place so memorable. During our visit, we stroll through its streets, explore both the modern and historic parts of the village, visit its church, discover a Romanesque chapel linked to the region's rich heritage, and stop by La Viña Rural House, whose owners helped us locate Antonio and Maica's former home. We also witness the arrival of the travelling market in the Town Hall square, a tradition that remains an important part of everyday life in these mountain villages. To finish our visit, we head to a spectacular viewpoint and a small chapel located on the outskirts of the village, where we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Benasque Valley and the surrounding Pyrenean mountains.
