Helping Riparian forests return after Eucalyptus removal | VLOG

After removing eucalyptus along the Mira River, in southwest Portugal, we're testing different ways to help native riparian forests return. In this Field Notes update, we plant native trees, monitor their survival, and compare natural regeneration with active restoration to learn what works best for bringing these important habitats back. 🙋 SIGN UP FOR VOLUNTEERING: https://cdn.forms-content.sg-form.com... 🌄 BOOK A TRIP TO VISIT THIS PROJECT: https://www.mossyearthjourneys.com/ 🦜 To support our work you can become a member here: https://mossy.earth 🪓 If you're alread a member, directly fund more eucalyptus removal here: https://www.mossy.earth/platform/fund... In the face of climate change and other current human-related threats, we work to ensure the conservation of the area's diverse terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats and species. To do this we aim to operate at the landscape scale in cooperation with local communities, setting Portugal’s Southwest on the rewilding track.
