When Doowee’s father is accused of sabotaging a movie that he is working on, he asks the SBI to find the real culprit. Sally and Doowee get roles as extras on the movie, which is being shot in their school, to keep an eye on things. But while Doowee is focused on the case, Sally is smitten by the movie’s star, teen heart-throb, Jake Adonis, and has trouble keeping her mind on the job. The sleuths narrow the suspects down to two suspects – Jake’s co-star and the assistant director – but before they can be sure who it is, the movie set fills with smoke and Jake disappears! Sally and Doowee have to find the star and solve the crime so Doowee’s dad can get his job back.
