During the time of Imam Abu Hanifa, two young men - twins married two girls - twins. Well, you all know this story. So, let's say Hasan and Hussein married Fatima and Zuhra. Hasan to Fatima, and Hussein to Zuhra. But on the first night, the husbands made a mistake in the rooms, and when they discovered that they were mistaken, the deed was done. It turned out that they committed adultery. They did not know what to do, how to act. The scholars did not know what conclusion to give. Maybe they should divorce? And if they divorce, should they wait a period (iddah) after the divorce, and so on. There was a lot of debate. Then they decided to ask Abu Hanifa. Someone said: "What can he say? He needs to be asked questions on a different topic." But they still decided to ask. Abu Hanifa listened to the problem and as soon as they finished, he immediately gave an answer. - Call Hasan and Hussein to me - Abu Hanifa ordered. The young men came afraid of what decision awaited them. Abu Hanifa asked each one: - Hasan, was your first night with Zuhra? - Yes. - Did you fall in love with her? - Yes. - Hussein, was your first night with Fatima? - Yes. - Did you fall in love with her? - Yes. - Then you, Hasan, divorce Fatima, and you, Hussein, divorce Zuhra. Since the married couple had not had intimacy before, there was no need to wait for a period after the divorce, and Abu Hanifa ordered the marriage ceremony to be performed again. Only now between Hasan and Zuhra and Hussein and Fatima. So in one minute, Abu Hanifa resolved the situation, and the wedding continued. If adultery occurs between a man and a woman by mistake, and they want to get married after that, then this is permitted. One person said: "That he is not surprised at the correctness of Abu Hanifa's decisions, since if we all think about it, then we will all come to the same decision. Rather, I am surprised at how quickly and immediately he finds an answer." - There are people who give an answer after thinking everything over first, weighing all the pros and cons, and there are people like Abu Hanifa, like a computer - they give an answer right away. They are not guilty of this. Abu Hanifa was a scholar of hadith. He was such a scholar of hadith that, in his opinion, if you accept a hadith, then according to the following chain: a person accepts a hadith from a companion, on the condition that he will not forget the hadith either in a year or in two years. Ask for the hadith in two years, and he will tell it to you. Only Abu Hanifa adhered to this condition. Other scholars may forget to look back in the book, but only Abu Hanifa accepted hadiths from those who knew them by heart and did not forget them.
