Tudo o que você vai encontrar no InterAntar em 2026.

Have you ever stopped to think that Antarctica is much closer to our daily lives than we imagine? What happens on the continent directly influences the climate, rainfall, and marine life here in Brazil. To shorten the distance, the InterAntar project was born, an initiative that uses technology and creativity to bring the secrets of the ice directly to you. The main objective is to build a polar mindset, showing that the science done down there is fascinating and essential for the balance of our planet. Imagine being able to observe a penguin or a whale up close without leaving home. With the 3D Virtual Museum, you will get to know 18 organisms that can be manipulated on the computer or even 3D printed to learn about a food web in the classroom. Translated into Braille, the Museum ensures that everyone can learn together. And if you're curious about the lives of explorers, the Criosfera X simulation lets you take on the role of a scientist in the heart of Antarctica, collecting data on ice and climate in a fully interactive experience. The immersion continues with the Game Factory, which offers 17 free mini-games for mobile phones, allowing you to learn about ecology and the dangers of marine pollution while you play. There's also PolarCast with episodes about Brazilian expeditions and interviews with scientists. In addition, the Brazilian Polar Film Showcase brings the charm of cinema and documentaries about icy regions to a wider audience. InterAntar is also dedicated to transforming basic education, having already trained more than 1,200 teachers across the country, allowing the topic to reach approximately 36,000 students. With accessible videos in LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) and free books, the initiative proves that cutting-edge science doesn't need to be locked away in laboratories; it can be accessible, inclusive, and exciting, inviting every Brazilian to discover the importance of protecting our future. This channel is produced by InterAntar, a polar science outreach program coordinated by Professor Dr. Sílvia Dotta of the Federal University of ABC.
