I Stayed in Rome's Worst Budget Hotel... Then a 5-Star Palace

I travelled to Rome with my wife Mary to compare two completely different hotel experiences — a budget 2-star hotel near Termini Station and a beautiful 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Rome. First, we checked into Hotel Termini, a budget hotel close to Rome’s main train station. On paper, it seemed like a practical place to stay if you want to keep costs down and be near transport links. But once we got into the room, the experience was very different from what we hoped for. The room was rough, the condition wasn’t great, and it honestly became one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays we’ve had so far. Then, we moved across Rome to Singer Palace Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel that gave us a completely different side of the city. From the service to the room, the atmosphere, the rooftop, and the overall experience, it felt like proper Roman luxury.
