Profile of Al-Basyariyah Islamic Institution

Al-Basyariyah Islamic Institution was officially established in 1982 by Buya, Drs. KH. Saeful Azhar. Its pioneering efforts began several years earlier in the villages of Cikungkurak and Cibaduyut Lama. Through the dedication and hard work of its founder, the pesantren has now grown to encompass a total land area of 18 hectares, with four campuses and over 4,000 students ranging from kindergarten to advanced Islamic education (Mu’adalah). Campus II is located in a village that, during its time, was known as a center of renowned Islamic scholars in South Bandung, notably Eyang Cimindi, a descendant of Waliyullah Eyang Mahmud, the ancestor of Buya. This campus offers TMI (Tarbiyatul Mu’allimin wal Mu’allimat al-Islamiyah) education through the Mu’adalah program for both 4-year and 6-year study periods, followed by one year of community service. The program has been officially recognized by the Indonesian government under Law No. 18 of 2019 concerning Pesantren, which states that graduates may pursue further education—both religious and general—and/or enter the workforce (Article 19, paragraphs 2a and 2b). Alhamdulillah, throughout its journey, Al-Basyariyah Islamic Institution has successfully graduated thousands of alumni who are now spread across various regions, particularly in West Java and throughout the Indonesian archipelago in general. Currently, Al-Basyariyah Islamic Institution operates across four campuses located in various regions of Bandung: Campus I – Cibaduyut, Bandung City Campus II – Cigondewah Hilir, Margaasih, Bandung Regency Campus III – Arjasari, Bandung Regency Campus IV – Cikungkurak, Caringin, Bandung City Follow our social media to stay updated with the latest information about Al-Basyariyah Islamic Institution: Facebook: https://bit.ly/2TzeFDM Instagram: https://bit.ly/2yVsjro YouTube: https://bit.ly/3yuryV9 TikTok: https://bit.ly/47CYPgS WhatsApp Channel: https://bit.ly/49N43Z9
